Investors realize that it is time in the market not market-timing that will make them rich. The stock market is the safest place for their money. A Money Market fund earns about 4% but after inflation of 4.98%, you’re losing money. Inflation will always be with us

Right now our response to the impact of continuing inflation on everyday expenses stops many COLD. According to a recent study, 67% of us are nervous about investing but don’t want to miss out on a recovery; 54% have stopped or reduced retirement savings due to inflation; and 75% are worried the rising cost of living will affect their retirement plans. Unfortunately our response to inflation is to withdraw dollars to invest and save them for current higher prices. This makes sense to many who don’t realize they are giving up on the BEST time to invest. Prices of many stocks are down which is the best time to buy. The average rate of inflation over history is about 3%. The average rate of return over history is 11%. Reg BI was supposed to have the sales person “evaluate other investments and investment types before making a recommendation.” But most sellers can only sell the most profitable products that the FIRM has chosen. Thus we don’t get the Best Interest for us we get Best Investment for the firm. Most sellers have monthly goals so after picking the product they back fill with their biased evaluations. BI was supposed the take into account all our risks and profile goals as “care obligations” for our benefit: So why all the customer complaints? In fact the first BI violation of the SEC was for “recommending and selling a high-risk debt security to retail investors and retirees.”  We only have one alternative: ask questions, know what you are buying: upsides & downsides.
